You can only see the texts when you get 4 secrets. But there is a fifth somewhere...
Also, SPOILERS:WOW! Plot thickens. So the defense system was trapping people on layer 8?! And those bullets were targeted at Mur, not FROM him?! Wow.
Also, I was thinking on a "History Lesson" theory, but I never posted for lack of evidence. I guess it went from Unlikely to Confirmed without even being posted
I really just walked around to find 4 secrets (I'm not even sure is there IS a 5th secret... or what it does). Also, Gem, check some layers on older puzzles.

Thank you. But I'd still like to know where to put the climbing rope.
Before you can use the Rope you need one more item to unlock the hook where you use it.
Why are you telling me to check those for secrets when you have admitted you didn't find any, because you went through the game too fast to care about them? *rolleyes*
It doesn't surprise me that nobody else cares to help me out on the secrets. This community has proven its disgusting time and time again. I'll just wait for a more filling walkthrough.
The older puzzles were for the rope, the secrets are just around.
I'm going to give one I can remember, though:
SPOILERS: Under the tomb level, go to the left and go to the 5th layer. Get the scale part, backtrack to the rope towards the second stone eye, go to the right of the rope, use the scale on the machine. The side the scale is turned opens one of the tomb tunnels.
Also, did anyone found anything to do with the hammer other than the bells? and do the bells do anything?
